Our Philosophy
At Curriculum Kids, we believe that every child deserves to begin their learning journey with optimism, curiosity and a strong sense of belonging. The early years are the foundation of lifelong learning, and when children are supported in rich, play-based environments, they grow into confident, capable learners. Our work is grounded in the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF v2.0), which guides us in supporting educators to design programs that are holistic, inclusive, and meaningful.
We understand that Early Childhood Educators bring with them diverse experiences, philosophies and approaches to teaching. Rather than a one-size-fits-all method, our resources are designed to be flexible and adaptable, tools that can be used alongside a wide variety of curriculum approaches while staying true to the EYLF. Whether it’s through step-by-step curriculum guidance, assessment templates, or inspiration for learning experiences, we aim to save educators time while offering high-quality, visually engaging materials that spark creativity and confidence.
The Practice Principles of the EYLF and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) guide our approach. We believe that collaborative practices strengthen the relationships between children, families and educators, creating learning communities where every voice is valued. We see effective practice as recognising the individuality of every child, supporting their unique ways of seeing and experiencing the world. We uphold reflective practice as essential, encouraging educators to continually evaluate, adapt and grow in their professional journey.
At the heart of the EYLF are the five learning outcomes, Identity, Community, Wellbeing, Learning, and Communication. We embrace these not as isolated goals but as interconnected pathways that weave together to support children’s development. Play is central to this integration, offering children opportunities to explore, connect, and build skills across all areas simultaneously. Through play, children make sense of themselves, their relationships, and their place in the world.
Curriculum Kids also extends this philosophy beyond the classroom. With our Playtime at Home series, we aim to bridge the gap between education settings and families, offering simple, accessible activities that encourage learning in everyday life. By supporting both educators and families, we help ensure that children experience consistency, joy and connection across all aspects of their world.
Our vision is clear: to empower educators and families with resources that are not only practical and inspiring but also deeply connected to the principles of quality early learning. We are committed to nurturing a generation of children who feel valued, supported and ready to embrace their journey in life with confidence and optimism.
